Rheumatoid Arthritis and Gum Disease – Yes There is a Connection!

According to a recent study done on animals in South Australia (by Mark Bartold, Ph.D), there could be a connection to the severity of periodontal disease and Rheumatoid Arthritis. The studies being done in Bartold’s lab will aid in discovering whether the reduction of periodontal inflammation improves the disease activity of Rheumatoid Arthritis (Kirkner).
